Class Description Children in both classes will learn and develop a variety of skills in a relaxed loving environment. Sharing, expressing ideas, making choices, completing tasks, socializing with other children and good listening habits will be emphasized. All of the following subjects are designed to revolve around the alphabet and changing with every "Letter of the Week"
   

Teaching Format& Topics

Math:
Exposure to mathematical concepts such as recognition of numbers 1-10, shapes and patterns.

Language &
Reading Readiness:

Recognition of alphabet letters and sounds reinforced by learning to write their name, use of alphabet tubs , phonic exercises and songs.

Science:
Discover and exploration of their world and the world around them (i.e. animals, nature, community service)
Religion:
Chapel time in class and as a school, Bible stories from both Old and New Testaments, Christian songs, prayers and devotions aide in creating a positive Christian atmosphere.
Art & Music:
Children alternate between Free Art (child guided art projects) and Directed Art (teacher guide art projects) using various artistic mediums: music is introduced into the program using a range of songs and special programs.
