Community of Christ ~ St. Luke's Church is a family of Christians who...
- believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
- believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross and rose to life again for our salvation;
- believe that God offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life to all who sincerely believe in Christ;
- believe that the Holy Spirit gives and strengthens faith through the Word of God and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. This faith is a joyous faith which offers strength and courage to the hurting and provides real purpose for living and certain hope for the dying;
- believe that Christians express their faith in a life of regular worship, Bible study, witness, service and prayer
- believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God which bears the words of eternal life and has authority and meaning for daily living.
We Exist Because...
- You are precious to God!
- Spiritual issues matter in daily living
- Individual hurts and hopes are important
- We want to grow in our relationship to Jesus Christ
- We want others to share the joy we have in Christ
- Families need a loving, supportive community that shares their values
- God has blessed us.
A place for Worship...
- to receive the gifts of forgiveness and eternal life which only Jesus Christ can bring.
- to respond with celebration for the freedom and joy we have in relationship with our Lord Jesus.
- to grow in our faith relationship with Christ.
A place for Learning...
God has placed into our care a tremendous gift as well as a tremendous responsibility -- the knowledge of Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.
Our goal: to grow in relationship to Jesus Christ through worship and study which builds upon the reality of God's Word in the Bible.
Growth also comes through relationships: growing socially and emotionally while learning together; sharing and bearing one another's joys and cares as followers of Jesus Christ.
A place for Service...
Followers of Jesus Christ are called to love as Christ Himself has loved us -- through serving one another.
St. Luke's is a place to serve... First we learn to better understand ourselves through network; next join a small group to grow in faith and to serve others; then experience all the possible areas of service within our congregation.
A place to Enjoy...
